Truck Drivers work at L&T
Independent collection of waste as a driver or as a driver's partner on an agreed transport route
Requires a C driver's license, valid driver's professional competence, and driving experience
Physically demanding, as there are hundreds of waste containers to be emptied or loading and unloading of the cargo
Requires a service-oriented attitude, as the work is carried out in tight customer locations and traffic congestion
Modern equipment and tools with vehicle terminals and smartphones are provided
Comprehensive training is provided to support the correct and safe working and driving methods

Truck Driver or Waste Truck Driver
Common tasks
Emptying waste containers alone or with a partner in a pre-designed area, using a predetermined driving route
Assessing the quality of collected waste and marking it on the vehicle terminal
Transporting the collected waste to the agreed further treatment
Occasionally, various warehouse tasks at the terminal/facility.
Equipments
Piece goods vehicle or combination vehicle
Vehicle terminal and smartphone.
Workwear and other equipment that promote work safety.
Working hours and shifts
Usually full-time day work.
In the future, two-shift work may also be possible. In that case, shifts are scheduled between 6 am and 10 pm.
Work may also be required on weekends during public holiday weeks.
Driver's license
Requires a C driver's license and a valid professional competence.
Language skills
Often requires proficiency in Finnish.
Previous experience/education
Requires transportation training and previous experience.
Additional benefits may include a digital tachograph, road safety, and/or occupational safety cards, as well as forklift driving experience.
Special Truck Driver
Common tasks
Transporting special equipment to customer sites and using the equipment on-site.
Tasks specific to the specialization area at the customer site: a) Sewage work, such as emptying septic tanks and various separators, opening and flushing sewers, and cleaning work. b) Industrial cleaning work, such as high-pressure washing or high-power vacuuming.
Collection and transportation of hazardous waste to the terminal, customer service during pick-ups, and tasks at the terminal.
